Beijing Intellectual Property Working Conference was held on February 26, 2014. Mr. Changyu SHEN, Director of SIPO, and Mr. Junliang DAI, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, were presented in the conference.

It is introduced that WIPO Chinese Office has begun selecting site in Beijing now, and it is expected to start their work in this year. The opening of the office in Beijing would create favorable conditions to the Beijing enterprises for their “going out”.

Deputy Mayor Dai highly appreciated Beijing’s IP work, and requested the relevant departments to reinforce their sense of mission and responsibility in their IP work. He also demanded the departments to improve the four mechanisms as “market orientation, motivation and reward, transformation and application, crackdown of infringement”, pool all the strength, and be realistic yet innovative in order to achieve new development in Beijing’s IP work.
